Every year we have new car models unleashed by all different companies. The year 2015 is no different with the unveiling of the new Acura TLX. The more expensive division of Honda, the Acura TLX boasts is a luxury sedan with a sport type feel. What is unique about the TLX is that it will offer more interior space than any vehicle in its class. It will be available in a 4-cylinder base motor or V6 engine. It will also have the company’s next generation version of its Super-Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system, the fully automatic all-wheel drive traction and handling system designed and engineered by Honda.
Audi is releasing the Q3, an SUV, which will have all the features of the larger Audi SUV models but is more compact. It will have a 4 cylinder engine and will be available in front drive or Quattro all-wheel drive. Like its older siblings the Q5 and Q7, the Audi Q3 will also allow drivers to choose a select system between Comfort, Sports and Auto and remaps the steering and throttle accordingly.
Cadillac will improve on its Escalade, a model that faces stiff competition from import and domestic rivals but still continues to pay off for Cadillac. The full size luxury SUV will have a brand new interior and a 6.2 Liter V8 engine tentatively placed at 420 horsepower and an impressive 460 lb-ft of torque. For its size and power, the miles per gallon (mpg) are very respectable with the EPA rating it an average of 17 mpg.
The 2015 Dodge Charger offers muscle but in a sleeker version. The base engine continues to be the 3.6-liter V-6 (292 hp, 260 lb-ft), with 300 hp and 264 lb-ft but the difference is all in the skin of the car. Dodge has revamped the Charger with a new-grille, headlights, hood, fenders, and rear fascia. New safety features such as adaptive cruise control and forward collision Warning-Plus are also included. The latter provides autonomous braking if the driver fails to respond in a dangerous situation.
Mercedes will showcase its S-Class Coupe which will share basic platform mechanicals with the S-Class sedan but slightly smaller. Also it will feature a revolutionary “curve-tilting” cornering assist system. This system actually allows the car to lean into a turn like a motorcycle to make passengers more comfortable. This is quite extraordinary to say the least. The coupe will be released as the S550 in the United States in 2015.
The 2015 Toyota Camry seeks to contend with the Honda Accord and Nissan Altima. An eco-friendly hybrid model will also be available for the Camry and while the interior has not been revamped all that much, the Camry has had mechanical tweaks and new reinforcement material has made it structurally rigid and also changed the electronic power steering and hydraulic brake booster. Exterior changes are immediately obvious even by glancing at the new 2015 Camry.
